The First Rule of Fight Club is that You Don’t SING About Fight Club
It was bound to happen sooner or later. Bollywood is remaking the David Fincher film, based on Chuck Palahniuk’s book questioning American masculinity and the culture of consumerism, into a musical. I actually think all aspects of this news are awesome. Bollywood always steals plots from American movies, but usually from romantic comedies or cheap action films and rarely do they use the American title. This could potentially be a real kick-ass Bollywood musical and judging from the video snippets on Twitch, it will be. (Sexy dancers with baseball bats? Yes!) And then on to Broadway with Trent Reznor? So from novel to film to Bollywood musical to Broadway musical. That, my friends, is a progression one can only dream of.
